    About Us

    Our History

Founded in 2010, The Detroit News Today began as a small digital newsletter covering local events in Detroit neighborhoods. What started as a passion project by a group of dedicated journalists has grown into one of the most trusted sources of news in the Detroit metro area.

Over the years, we've expanded our coverage to include in-depth reporting on city politics, community development, arts and culture, business, and more. We've been recognized with numerous awards for our commitment to factual, unbiased reporting and community engagement.

In 2020, we launched our community events platform to better connect Detroit residents with activities and opportunities in their neighborhoods. Today, we continue to grow while maintaining our core values of integrity, accuracy, and community service.
